DesegreGAYtion

These striking images come from the DesegreGAYtion Initiative which "aims to point out the absurd discrimination that presently exists against Gay and Lesbian couples". The artist behind the project wants people to print out "Gays" and "Straights" stickers and place them in public places to elicit a conversation about the state of equal rights in the US. More pictures and info, as well as the sticker template, on their MySpace page HERE.

While I understand and appreciate the purpose behind this idea, i feel like this would be more likely to offend people and cause anger and conflict rather then start a dialogue. Isn't there enough anger and conflict surrounding gay rights in the first place? I feel like there must be a more proactive way to provoke discussion.
I respect the other comment. However I think the photos are genius. I view them as a statement about how things are now as opposed to how things could be in the future or how we want to perceive things are now.
