Spotted in New York City: Final Exit

posted by Noah at 8:00 AM

I recently gave a talk at the New York Public Library's Grand Central Branch and discovered this sign in a stairwell in the building. Needless to say I did not go through that door.

Spotted in Seattle: Signs of The Times

posted by Noah at 1:28 PM

An honorable mention goes to the stop signs with their cute stripes, but hard to follow directions. I certainly can't eyeball what 30 feet looks like, and there was no indication on the sidewalk of that distance either.

Spotted In Hawaii part II: Protect The Cute Fish

posted by Noah at 10:48 PM

I've seen warnings about dumping spray painted over sewer drains in several cities, but I've never seen one etched in stone! Kudos to the folks in Honolulu's Chinatown for going the extra mile to protect the ocean.
